Yeah, but still chosen by the Bs| and (according to one of the earlier posts in this thread) a majority of them are Bs members. So the council isn't really independent from Bs| in any meaningful way.
No longer active online due to a dwindling amount of non-PvP (trading, pirating, mining, etc.) fun in the new version.
