Your battlestars aren't ideally suited to protecting your explorers, and you know that. What's the point in having a battleship escort an explorer? You may as well have the battleship do the exploring. Seems... unnecessary.
Your battleships won't protect you from pirates or whatever, you know this. Battleships such as yours are not ideally suited to defending convoys, it isn't a part of their design. Any pirate worth his salt, and your Hispanic name betrays your heritage, so you will know this, will use a bomber or two to quickly target their prey, something which a battleship will not be able to prevent. Battleships are designed for pitched battles, funnily enough, not for protecting against lightning raiders. That's what escort fighters are for.
I don't see other 'civilian' trading and exploration wings relying on privately-owned battleships to protect them. Not even the Houses' companies and holdings such as Bowex, Republican Shipping, even Ageira or Samura own such vessels.
Right now, your warfleet only brings hostilities, giving us reason to believe that you are a potential threat. You'd have less enemies without it, less people firing on your so-called 'civilian' vessels. They don't protect you.
