Subject: Letter of Resignation
Jefe Jay and VPs,
It is with great regret and some trepidation that I must tender my resignation as a trader with your stellar Organization. I feel that my current state of affairs may reflect on IND in a negative manner; and, I do not wish to besmirch your longstanding reputation as a neutral, fair, and impartial trading group.
To elaborate, it appears that a few of my recent dealings have somehow made me personna non gratis in Liberty Space, as well as in a few other locations regularly frequented by both IND and Interspace Commerce vessels. I honestly do not how this has happened, unless it has to do with certain other business ventures I have undertaken recently with individuals of rather shady reputation. All I know of a certainty is that my HUD shows much more red than it should, and I am buggered as to how to remedy this situation.
As I never joined the IC organization, I have surrendered my Neutral shipping ID to that nice Office Manager of yours on Waterloo, and have obtained in its place a Freelancer ID. (You should give that nice young lady a raise, or I may steal her from you!) I hope that my timely action will prevent any repercussions to your Organisation for any alleged pecadillos attributed to me.
For the time being, I will list my home port as Gran Canaria, Omega 49. I have a plantation to oversee, and a small summer villa to construct. Please feel free to drop by any time Im in port for a visit. I have made many wonderful friends, and gained a few helpful mentors while a member of IND; and I would be loathe to lose those memories and relationships.
I ask of you one small boon: My Epsilon Escort Viper, currently berthed at Waterloo, is still IDd with Interspace Commerce, and has an impeccable IC reputation. I would ask the opportunity to continue to serve in my capacity as Escort Pilot for IND and IC as required. (And, can I still reserve my old table at the bar in Manhattan?)
Once again, thank you for the opportunity to serve, learn, and grow with the IND.
With regrets, and fond memories,
Reginald Pops Waverly Esq.,
