General rule of thumb.

If it's not tagged, it's 100% freelance. however if they've been contracted to do something for another clan.. then.. well.. That's clan politics for ya.

IMHO, if the trader is not tagged, it shouldn't affect any faction status. If it is tagged, such as [GoR], SF, whatever.. then yeah.. it'd affect status.

Just my two cents (inflatation included)
