Legion of Armageddon

I can assure you, under no situation would the legion use any nomad equipment. For the most part, it will all be civilian. If we end up making a deal with a faction in exchange for its equipment, we might use some of that equipment. I very highly doubt we will be making any such deals though. I would make a detailed list of civilian equipment, but it's alot of work and equates into the same thing. Civilian equipment. Civilian Ships.

As for the Capital ships, they aren't "Capital ships in the Lineup", they are paticular ships with a paticular RP associated with them. For the Ragnarok, we say dreadnought because of the increased size and armor of the ship reflects what the ship would be. Liberty because that would be the "source" of the ship. If the trade ships weren't paper thin, then it could just as easily be a giant trade ship. The problem is that after 150+ years, giant cargo bays that are designed to transport cargo quickly and efficiently would be less important than a few extra meters of armor between the people living inside such ships and the hostile galaxy. Naturally, if there is a better suggestion than a Liberty Dreadnought for fitting that role, it would be the one that the Ragnarok would be modeled after. It will be a moot point if it is all fictional, but still, any suggestions on what might work better than a Lib Dreadnought?

The Talaca Cruiser though, it is a deliberate effort to add a capital ship to our line. I added it because it seems downright silly for a mercenary company selling its services to not have something to rally around in combat, and there is no "Civilian" gunboat. This will probably have to be changed. Perhaps we can work out with another faction permission to "buy" one of their gunboats for this position. I'm hesitent about leaving this fictional, because I am not sure how much imagination in conflict reports house factions will have, and i'm not sure how many would be willing to play as if there was more to the conflict than a handful of fighters shooting pathetically at their capital fleets

I read up as much as I could find on the Mandalorians. The biggest difference between us and them (besides our origin story) is that we don't take more than a single contract at a time. I haven't found much on them though, so perhaps I am missing something? Or is it the Origins that causes the issue?


*Edit: One last thing, the faction is Freelancer, not merc. it takes on Merc contracts, but also does other things that aren't so mercenary, like RP exchanging trinkets with the local station, or RP minor repairs to non-critical systems, or RP some kind of space carnival. You know, Gypsy stuff.*
