Evening, Callahan here.
Earlier this evening Mr.LeBlanc, Mr.Moore and myself decided to pay the New York system a "friendly" visit.
On the beginning of our trip we were fortunate enough to meet a friendly pirate who goes by the name of "Freeman". He accompanied us through California to New York, where we met surprisingly little resistance.
There were no patrols at the jumpgates and West Point was pretty much clear too.
Not wanting to waste time we quickly proceeded towards Manhattan, where we encountered a Bounty Hunter Gunship and some small flies. The Gunship exploded as fast as we could get a lock on it, thanks to a Mercenary called "William Breen",
who appears to work for our Lane Hacker friends. Atleast that's what he said, and who are we to turn down a helping hand?
We proceeded to blow up everything hostile in sight with Mr.Breen's aid, just after which we got word of a Corsair intrusion into Liberty space.
We decided to intercept them at the California gate and just as the first two came through some very heavy ion interferences struck the area.
Once those passed we were facing even more Corsairs, it seems they used the ion interferences to sneak through the gate.
Anyway, we got rid of all Corsairs without any major problems save for one called "Grimly", whom we had to chase to Newark Station before we were able to turn his ship into spacedust.
Mr.Freeman and Mr.Breen left us at that point since there were no further targets we couldn't handle on our own in sight.
After disposing of the mentioned Corsair we encountered a Bounty Hunter of the Search and Destroy agency around Trenton Outpost and got rid of him too.
Satisfied with our work we then proceeded to return to base, but lucky as we are we encountered another Corsair Gunboat at West Point. It didn't last long.
The trip home went well and there no further interferences.
In total, we destroyed, if I recall correctly, five M26-type Gunboats, one Liberty Gunboat, one Bounty Hunter Gunship, one Praetorian Bomber, one Manta and some other small flies.
We had no casualities save for some minor equipment damage.
