Anyway, here's a thought. Maybe the explosion in the CD is designed to move the victim in a predetermined path, and the regular engines kick on to prevent it. It could be part of the mechanism that causes cruise to fail at all.
Look, I am normally utterly against burying some ideas without arguments, having it happen to me with some cool ideas a few times. Of course we can offer arguments to try to explain it scientifically, but without blocking e-kill, everybody would just kill their engines while going 350 and you'd never stop them. It's basically just that, that is the reason why CD disrupts e-kill too. So talk away if you wish, I was just saying that the idea of removing this is probably not implementable, nor a smart thing to do.
