I was thinking on the Xeno terrorist faction and had the following weapon suggestion to give them a little more fun and threat:

Make a mine that does enough damage to take down a cruiser or battleship shield/hull.
Have the ammo take 30 cargo space each when carried.
(which would allow the startracker to carry one and an eagle to carry two)
Make each round cost several million credits (three-five perhaps?).
Give it a low speed and short fuse so it can't be used in much more than a "sneak attack".
Make the infocard for it identical to say a "razor" mine so it can't be spotted in a scan.

This way startrackers could come into Liberty and make suicide runs on the NPC capital patrols there--maybe even get lucky and get a player ship once in awhile.

An eagle has enough cargo space to drop two in fast succession or multiple startrackers could work in tandem. First takes down shield and second takes down hull. The mine range should be low enough and the blast damage and radius should be great enough to ensure the destruction of the launching ship too.

The mine would only be sold on the Xeno base and would be recognized there only by its cost--otherwise looking like a razor mine launcher and mine ammo. Xenos with no tag showing could be used to get in by surprise.

Would make Liberty actually have to watch traffic and give the Xenos a fun hobby.

What does everyone think? (and no, I don't play any Xeno characters).
