Well sir, I'm looking to join up.

My name is Andrew Darby, from Aberdeen in the Edinburgh system, newly minted 18-yr-old, and looking for a way up in this world.

My dads pulling a police pensioners salary, no chance for me to afford Cambridge or anything like that, and my mum ran off with some Ricer just before the war, so life for me is looking somewhat down.

But sir, i can change that, If I'm allowed to join up, I am willing for front line service. From a bloody ****hole, Hippies attempt to blow it up every other day, and I need to get out.

As patriotic as the next punter I am, and its not just self interest thats got me here, no sir, it just opened my mind to seeing if I have what it takes to be a pilot in Her Majesty's Service.

Take it or leave it at that sir, God Save the Queen, and christ help me I hope I get in.
