yes i am aware, but that doesn't mean that i'm going to wait long before i am going to start telling the story, i hope to do that somewhere within the week, but the ghostship won't come online for a long time, i still need to start saving for it, so that will atleast take a few months to completely rep fix and buy it.

Other than that, i think it is a good idea, would it be hostile to everyone, or a more traditional explorer?

He won't harm anyone, unless they come to close, and with close i mean close, around 500m, so thats point blank range. But that will be explained in the story(i already have the story in my mind, i just need to know what ship i would like to use)

As for which ship, something like an osiris, as they move very easily through asteroids, but that would probably be up to what ever faction the ship is from.

I like the osiris, also the faction doesn't really matter, as this idea could work for any faction, i will only use the ship as main criteria for my choice.
