we are currently neutral to them because we do not want to deal with them at this point in time. once we have consolidated our position, that will change.
also, we do not attack traders because we do not want that reputation in this community.
alliances are for other things besides attacking and such. they are to help cover your ass so you dont have someone whack u in the back of the head when ur not looking. jsut because we havent attacked SF in a week or so, doesnt mean we are allied to them.
have you looked in our faction status post? it says

i honestly want someone to tell me how that means we are allied to them. obviously we can attack them as much or as little as we want, because the Helghast are not our overlords. they do not dictate our policies.
the SCRA is an INDEPENDENT faction! who are the Helghast ( and specifically QV) to determine our policy towards the SF?
just because we are currently, and i stress the word currently, neutral to the SF, does not mean we are renouncing our alliance!
