Onboard exploration flagship Heiontousa; In orbit around New Tokyo, was an eager crew preparing for the Heiontousas first exploration mission since it's re-construction. Onboard the bridge the navigational officer plotted a course through some of the omicron systems, where the exploration would take place.
Across from the navigation officer in the centre of the bridge sat Chusa Yoshi Sabayai. After being informed of the ship readiness, Yoshi raised his left arm and said "Ikuzo".
The Heiontousa's four engines burst with life as they powered up and the ship moved forward.
A few minutes later the ship had flown through Hokkaido and Tohoku and was just about to enter the Unknown jump hole when; The commander informed the crew to be at the ready and commanded the tatical officer to raise shields. Yoshi wasnt a Towakemono, they were about to enter a dangerous area of space.
Just as the Heiontousa entered Unknown the lights on the bridge began to flicker. The operations officer suddenly became distressed; "Sir, im detecting some kind of dampening field. We are losing power, shields-". "Backup generators? Can you block the field?" Yoshi added, but it was too late. The ship was dark. The officers on the bridge watched through the viewscreen as the ship appeared to move closer to some kind of Installation. "My- It's nomad, Atleast I think." Yoshi captioned.
An airlock on the installation got closer and closer untill the ship could go no more. There was then a flash of pink to the left of the airlock and the crew lost conciousness.
Some time later the crew awoke. Commander Yoshi Sabayai pulsed his eyes as they slowly opened. He was lying on the ground just a few centimeteres from where he had been sitting. He then picked himself up and then went to help the other crew. First the operations officer, "Can we get power up?" Yoshi said to him. The officer then clicked a button on his panel and the ship lit up. "It appears so" he added. "Where are we" Yoshi questioned. "It appears we are back in Hokkaido" replied the Navigational officer. "How?" Yoshi questioned. "I- I don't know" the officer replied.
Yoshi then ordered her to plot a course back to New Tokyo immediately. As she nodded the tactical officer jumped as his panel began to transform. It suddenly partly showed what he believed was some kind of nomad interface. "Sir, SIR! Look" He said as he backed away from the panel. Yoshi raised up from his chair and walked over to the panel. "My- God" he added.
The bridge than recieved a communication from one of the lower decks, which was weapon loadouts two and four were located. "Commander I believe that some kind of Nomad circuitry has infested weapon turrents two and four and I believe it is spreading". This was just what Yoshi wanted to hear, the first time when his ship is back in space, (after his previous one was destroyed), was that it is being infested.
Yoshi pondered.. then spoke "We can't go back to Kusari. We cannot risk infecting anything or anyone else. Seal of that deck as best you can and evacuate all crew." The operations officer than replied: "But sir we have no choice, It is your responsibility to get this crew home safely." "I- I" he stuttered; "have a friend at Shingawa station, he is very talented. I believe that him an dthe Kishiro scientists may be able to help". Yoshi than debated this and then decided to agree with him. "Plot a course than, slowly. I believe that if we use more power, the faster the nomad circitry may infest. It's only a theory."
A long hour later the Heiontousa was in arms reach of help; Shingawa station.
"These Kishiro scientists will surely know what to do" The operations officer spoke with a sign of relief. He than communicated with the station, alerting them of their situation and a section on the station was quarantead off for the ship.
The crew, including Yoshi disembarked once the ship was safely inside Shingawa.
As the Kishiro scientists began to inspect the Heiontousa and over one hour later they stopped. Not because the task was finished, but because they did not know how to tackle a certain few problems. One of the leading scientists went to speak with the Commander. "Commander we cannot seem to get the garbage out of those two weapon bays. It keeps replicating itself. Now I know things seem grim but we are working on it, and we are not giving up." Yoshi let out a sigh.
