I think that the MR's RP is rather unique, and given Bjorn's explanation in Post 27, most of my past doubts about the faction have been cleared up.

As I explained to Glenn Thacker recently, imagine if the American Civil War was lost by the North, and both sides remained divided. Bickering and occasional bloodshed continues over 80 years later into the 1960s. The USSR, taking advantage of the divided US, fires MIRVs at the entire East coast, from Maine to Florida, and launches a full scale invasion of Alaska and Texas(from Cuba).

Do you still think that the North and South are going to continue bickering with each other as the Soviets destroy both of them? They share roots, culture, language, and territory. They're going to unite and fight the Soviets.

A similar situation is occurring between the Mollys and Bretonians. The Corsairs represent a massive threat to the Mollys and Bretonians. The Brets see them as invaders, and normal Mollys like my own see the Corsairs as encroaching on their turf. Common foes make enemies allies.
