I personally feel that the MR roleplays the rather delicate situation between Mollies and mainstream BAF rather well; yes we are not in a ceasfire like we were with the UoG, but nevertheless we are still not in open war to the same extent that we are against the corsairs.

With the twin threat of corsairs from the South and Kusarians from the North, it makes perfect sense for the MR to become more inclined to occasionally work with the BAF against their common enemies, and this is totally in keeping with their political aims;

The Mollies do not want to destroy or conquer Bretonia, they only wish the Bretonian Government to grant them independence in Dublin. Problem is, if either corsairs or Kusari win their wars, they will destroy the Bretonian government, and then there will be nobody left for the mollies to negociate with to gain their freedom. The mollies know perfectly well they stand a better chance of independence under a Bretonian Government than a Corsair or Kusari one, and if anything by fighting alongside the BAF and not fighting against BAF when it can be helped, they stand a good chance of winning enough Bretonian gratitude to have their independence granted. This was the exact reason why most Irish nationalists gave up their cause and fought alongside British troops during WWI, hoping they would get independence at the end of it.

Also, I would point out that what the MR are doing is not in any way violating Freelancer Cannon RP; infocards and News Reports all describe how Mollies helped the BAF to lay the minefield around Harris to protect against Kusari invasion amongst other things.
