Haven't you seen the other implemented and upcoming changes? Guard IDs and limited zones of action for capital ships, the obligation to come up with at least one line of RP before engaging in combat and so on? Traders aren't the primary nor the only focus of the limitations and modifications that are being implemented across the mod.
