BH gunboats PLEASE

I have, and like I said if you follow me, for this ship, it has nothing to do with skill.
Don't deny you're having it quite easy now, so mentioning skill to someone else isn't worth much here.

I do this experiement every time I see one to report:

In a straight line fight, under full gunboat firepower, the Gunship should die FAST. *PERIOD*
Why have the Gunboats class to begin with if Gunships can tank in just as much firepower?
(If not more considering agility...)

Im considering going BH for a while before 4.85 happens and then screaming on the forums about changes to the Gunship, and many would agree with on this one then...yea...

Sorry, but skill has a lot to do with it. Having it easy? What do you mean having it easy? A few titans and a bomber or two can make mincemeat of the gunship. And any other gunboat piloted by a half decent pilot will chew it up as well.

The gunship doesn't have as much firepower. Check the number of turrets you can mount. Are you sure you had a proper selection of turrets that would balance energy use versus damage?

Edit: A note, a whole lot of corsairs complaining about the Gunship is not going to achieve anything. In fact, the development team has probably balanced the ship for 4.85 anyway. So, in the mean time, you should improve your own flying skills in preparation for the new ships. Time spent complaining about a particular ship could be used to train against the ship (and others).

Corsair players complaining about things has achieved a lot, not all of it good. Much of that complaining has been sour grapes and poor sportsmanship. And some of it has been pretty justified, based on the kind of nonsense I've seen out in the Edge Worlds.

@Erik: Be happy that you are privileged to pilot the M26.

That thing is basically a mini-destroyer. It can solo other gbs with relative ease. In pairs it can take on most larger capships. And it can perform anti-fighter tasks - with the right setup.

If I were you, I wouldn't get too uptight with the BH gs. In 4.85 it will be utterly and totally useless against other capships - including gunboats. Nor will the new Orca BH gunboat be too difficult an opponent. It turns at roughly the same rate as the M26, has 1 front gun (refire 1.0, projectile speed 550 m/s) and 5 forward firing turrets. Oh, and the topside-bottomside profile will make for a nice bulls eye for your 8 turrets.

So stop complaining and learn to pilot your mini-destroyer.

The M26 has a serious flaw - its engines emit a toxic gas that causes delusions of grandeur and misguided notions of invulnerability.

Front guns? I'd rather throw my shoe at an enemy.
