Omicron Theta survey complete, medium to high density yield found in Orinoco cloud. Recommend 2 miners be stationed there to adequately supply our needs. Corsair activity is relatively light in that cloud because of regular bounty hunter patrols. There is also the Zoner military Asgard Warriors, they seem to have the system pretty well locked down after our Cylon encounters. All is quiet and my hold is full with no one to sell to so far.

Disaster in New London:

Responded to a Distress call from the SFMF Horizon in New London. I was patrolling a very quiet Omicron Theta when the call came through. Apparently a mercy mission to Cambridge was under attack by a large Phantom force.

I arrived in New London only to find the wreckage of the SFBS Sierra in a high solar orbit. I found only a handfull of escape pods and notified SAR. An open comm transmission was recieved from Horizon being pursued by Phantoms so I engaged cruise to planet NL and was met there by a battlship class alien vessel similar to the one spotted in Dublin 2 weeks ago. The battleship was soon joined by an Order battleship and a bomber that looked to be of Reinland design. After ineffectively engaging both battleships in an attempt to lure them off of pursuing the Horizon I took on the bomber. After stripping the bombers sheilds a few times it retreated and I continued the search for Horizon.

The last transmission recieved from Horizon was a garbled mess, sounds of weapons fire and explosions, then static.

I searched the system for survivers and only found one-notified SAR.

After refuel I Patrolled the pirate holes and Trafalgar and found nothing. Scanners were on the frits as I thought I saw the bomber flying the debris field around Trafalgar for an instant. No Further contact with the enemies after that.

Interdiction failure:

Intercepted a Junker vessel carrying synth marijuana. Pilot name Shamus refused to surrender cargo and ran. I pursued into Leeds and then Cambridge with some help from the SFGB Crickett. Cricket suffered navigational trouble in Leeds, I continued pursuit. The smuggler was lost in Cambridge when I encountered the SCRA Cruiser Protreptic-Telarca class. Nearest reinforcement was Artemis all the way out in Munich so I was forced to engage on my own. The battle was approximately 10 minutes in which I only got his shields to 50% once. Badly damaged I attempted a retreat but was gunned down, SAR picked me up a while later. There is an apparent relationship between London Drug and SCRA as they seemed to be working together.

After getting checked out by medical I had a reserve viper readied from Galactica. Artemis had finally arrived and we set out to Dublin to pursue the narcotic funded terrorists. An error in judgement on my part put the two of us on opposite sides of the system when I encountered the Protrectic at the Omega49 hole, I suffered thruster failure and was destroyed, did not learn the fate of Artemis. I recommend caution in that area of Dublin, high Corsair activity makes engagement tenuous at best.

Tactical analysis of the Telarca revealed it to be very much our own Gunstars-highly maneuverable for its size but slightly vulnerable in the rear. Close range strafing was the only valid tactic I could use. Possibly need a torpedo mount for future engagements and a couple more sheild busters.
