Blocking Jumpgates

Honestly Ktayn [fixed] that's more the job of the traders, to ensure that they're on the level with the NPC factions with whom they're interacting. 99.9% of 'em are dead white/green to the Navy, so they simply stroll through the system without much of a care.

In any case, the current defenses within that system are a laugh at best. There's almost nothing to stop you beyond a head on your shoulders.

Yeah, but that's kind of the problem. What happens when they, well, don't? At the very least, the defenses need a boost, like you said. A combination of LN and LSF Guard would be interesting. A stationary battleship, too. And an unnecessarily high amount of npcs tieing up the jumpgate (because don't you just HATE when that happens?).

Or... enclose the mine field entrance so the gate is completely surrounded, then add a jumphole from Virginia to right by the gate in a gap in the mines. Then to get there you need to go through the LN Guard system or the LSF Guard system in 4.85.
