SPLASH! Cold, ice water runs down Kevins face. He arises immediately, but is tied to a chair, making his struggle futile.
Youd better be awake now! The RM officer yells into Kevins soaked face.
So you want more of this? Is that it? Once again, the same RM officer speaks in the same tone as before.
Kevin replies with a slow gesture, Wha-Wait what do you--
Kevin is cut-off by another wave of cold water in the face.
Now, are you going to start speaking? I want to cut the bull and get to complete sentences! The officer replies sharply with a more aggressive attitude.
The chamber door clanks open, with two uniformed men dismiss the hot-tempered RM officer. They pull out two chairs to a desk, two feet apart from each-other. Another RM officer walks in, all is still quiet. Officer salutes, hands some blue-colored files to the officer to the right of Kevin. The officer that had the files leaves the room and shuts the door. The officer with the files opens up the file, and starts skimming through the first front page. Silence is broken with a friendly but militaristic voice:
So, Mr. Turner? How do you like Rhienland so far? The RM officer in a more settled, structured tone starts the first line of social interaction.
Kevin replies in another slow response, Im not sure were to start.
Theres always somewhere to start. I can start at the time when the explosions where ripping up civilian vessels. You can add onto this, of course. The officer replied in a suggestive manner.
OffOfficer, I clearly wish to ask whats all this about? Kevin replied in an unsure tone.
Youre a reasonable suspect of the recent bombings in a Civilian-launch port, there is reason to believe that you are -the- bomber or one of the bombers, since your ID, info card, ship, shows that you are a mercenary likely doing another job. Also to include that there has been some instances in Rhienland with your name in it. -- The officer replied in a quite agitated manner. Kevin, confused with what to reply to that, kept a closed mouth.
You there, son? The officer speaking adds to his last sentence.
Kevin, unable to respond because of what has recently happened, continues to be quiet.
Very well, if you wish not to talk, you will be brought to justice and serve a very- long time in a concrete cube. Hastily, the officer replies, disappointed that Kevin will not talk anymore. The officer speaks again, this time ordering two more men into the interrogation chamber, Untie this man and send him to his new quarters.
The two officers untangle the ropes binding Kevins arms, escorting him out into a corridor and down to a cell. As the door to the cell opens, a loud screech emerges as the doors locking mechanism suddenly detaches, letting the door swing wide open.
As Kevin enters the cell, the door suddenly screeches as it meets the concrete wall were it is hinged on. Kevin notices a bunk-bed, a small toilet, and a sink within this small room. There is no window, only the door that is keeping him in here. He sits on the lower bunk, thinking deeply about these sudden changes.
