The wind blew through Samina's hair, letting it fan out behind her. She smiled at the destruction below in the valley.
That would teach them to ignore her.
She turned, and reentered her Starblazer. Amazing how much damage such a small and innocent ship can do to a small colony... that mine had fallen quite excellently. What a lovely thing gravity is.
She whistled as she left orbit, heading towards Pueblo. She was fed up with the oppresion from the Liberty Officials, annoyed with the corporations with more power than a planet's government, distressed with the lies and damage Liberty was doing to it's people.
A government should be afraid of it's people, not the other way around.
The police were corrupt, easily bribable. The Navy were fools, easily confused and led around like lemmings. The LSF were too concentrated on enemies from outside... when they were themselves an enemy from within.
Oh how easy they made it for their enemies.
She loved how the government had been so foolish, so stupid to even think about starting a war, let alone actually going through with it... it was hilarious. Liberty was falling apart without a war, it wouldn't last a year with a full blown one happening.
And then, then the people would demand answers, then the government would get it's comeuppance, then the leader's of this foolish nation would realise... once and for all, that their power was so small, their grasp so narrow, their influence so weak.
