The Corsair issue

I think people wouldn't mind overwhelming odds in capital systems, if players actually existed outside of these systems. Liberty navy sit in new york, corsairs sit in gamma, etc. If there were a few corsairs that were regularly fooling around in the omegas to be fought by people who wanted balanced fights, people wouldn't mind so much being swamped in gamma. To me, the idea of being swamped in a capital system is fine, just so long as another option exists. But it doesn't seem like that's the case from what I've seen. not just corsairs though, as I said; this is something that afflicts most groups.

Personally, I'd prefer not to be swamped in whatever system it is, excluding Guard systems and Alaska of course. The reason the Navy usually sits in New York is because every time we try to leave to patrol another sector (California, Colorado etc), something always comes up along the tradelanes. Either its a gunboat or a falcatta or a sabre...you get the idea.

However, I don't think the same can be said for Gamma most of the time. Usually all I see if the HAF or OPG "training" there. Yet when I try to introduce roleplay and fair-fights, they simply overpower me and go back to "training". (Note: I'm just using the HAF and the OPG as examples, because I see them doing it quite frequently; the entire problem isn't just due to them).
