Quote:We understand your concerns about a possible Nomad uprise, as it is a plague for the whole of sirius if it happens again. We would like to help you to a spatial exploration vessel, but we have to delay our answer on this matter , because there are some diplomatic consequenses for it and it has to be reviewed by the whole Q12 Council.

However if you are going to do explorations in such dangerous remote systems, i advise you to take a look at the Kusari explorer wich is better outfitted for that kind of work.

Unfortunately as of this moment, no Kusari equipment is for political reasons a valid opportunity for the Junkers. As I have great sympathy for our fellow affiliates, especially to the GMG, this is in my opinion a regrettable situation which I wish to change sometime in the future. However, this will require a lot of work, work which I have already begun with Universal Shipping and You. My aim is common tolerance and understanding among different peoples, and building foundations for respect and honor among Sirius for the better of all humankind. We all know, it is sorely missed in this vast space torn by bitterness, fear and suspicion.

As a transport vessel captain I am also highly suspicous of gunboat maneuverability in the face of a Nomad attack. Once again, the superior IMG technology would be more admissible, this time in the form of the IMG gunboat with it's hard-to-hit profile.

Quote:The Colonial Remnant only do business on the base of mutual respect and understanding and whatever political reasons there might be, and therefor we shal never ask for credits regarding these kind of treaties.

I apologize for possibly offending you and explain: all Junkers are a single entity and fiercely protect eachother, as can be understood of a tribe feared, despised, abused, or doubted by the majority of Sirius dwellers. Only a small portion of us are succesful profiteers. Most Junker families are lesser ones, purifying urbanized areas of space of human made scrap, a business venture which less than provides for them. We profiteers spend major sums to take care of our lesser families. Sharing of profit is the greatest and most benevolent gift a Junker could give - or an entity to recieve from a Junker.

Quote:2.1 PROPOSAL OF CR NON-HOSTILITY
CR will not attempt to stop vessels flown by arris, in his convoy or belonging to the future group of [Ju-17], scan their cargo, or make financial or material demands from them, with the sole exception of warranted suspicion of the vessel in question having kidnapped or enslaved CR personnel, as these are corporate assets and violate the sponsorship agreement.
remark:
with the sole exception of warranted suspicion of the vessel in question having kidnapped or enslaved inhabitants of Sirius , or other criminal activities in IMG/CR Zone of Influence. as these are corporate assets and violate the sponsorship agreement.

You ask for much, as for the aforementioned reasons hostilities among Junkers and less honorary factions cannot always be avoided. I am confident that one day we would be able to guarantee the safety of all inhabitants of Sirius, but for the moment we must start somewhere. I beg you to take the first step with me.

I am willing to extend the non-hostility agreement to concern the whole of IMG regardless of your political troubles, but must ask for reason otherwise. The CR/Junker proposal is but a first step: Proposing non-hostility towards other factions without having anything to bargain with would put us at a great disadvantage. We would have already promised non-hostility towards everyone, and everyone could just continue to be hostile based on a whim, unless we offered even more. These are big steps, and unfortunately even our wells aren't bottomless.

What comes to your further remark, my aim is to reach such treaties and such leverage, that at some point of time the Border and Independent worlds would become a safe place to live and profit. However, different factions require different leverage. I find myself uneasy with your suggestive remark, as we are forced to give a lot to even gain a little. Including such clauses to a general treaty would imply us unlawful faction, which we are not. Rather, like the Zoners, we are the ambassadors between various lawful and unlawful factions.

I hope you understand, that approving such clauses would endanger your own vessels, as the Junkers would lose methods which provide leverage towards those factions that hunt you (say, the Outcasts). However, I am willing to extend my proposal so, that no activities considered criminal by CR or IMG, produced by arris etc. happen in the vicinity or at CR/IMG facilities.

I'm also sure we both agree procuring arrested entities, commonly considered criminals by all House factions, to Falkland base at Tau-37 does not constitute a crime.

Once again I implore you to understand my aims. We must start somewhere, and I am willing to start with you. However, we Junkers are highly skilled when it comes to business, and you are asking for ten coins in return of one. Making extensive allowanses towards you would only mean, I'm sure you are aware of this yourselves, a third party would take advantage of it and our mutual endeavours would be rendered futile. Furthermore, the applied law changes from system to system, and as such the treaty with your proposed changes would become terminatable the instant it is undersigned.

If we are able to begin the arduous task of mutual understanding, with time, I'm confident you will see common piracy and widespread criminal activities in the Tau sector decrease. However, the means by which this will happen is not always to the liking of you, or me, for that matter. I hope you show the same trust in my capabilities and understanding of your delicate situation, as I show in yours.

I'd like you to implore this: the CR is not welcome to Bretonnia and effectively cut off from IMG facilities there, am I right? Perhaps you are already supplied with your specialized machinery by the GMG, but the Junkers could easily provide it for you in order to improve the quality of life and work conditions throughout the Tau systems. In the eyes of some factions this would constitute a crime. In the eyes of others it would not. In my eyes I save one of my families from starving, and do something for the better of mankind to boot. In a situation like this, even the IMG would have more orders for their products, and BAF would recieve more funding to stop it, so everyone would win. The matter of "crime", in reality, is only selfish faction politics.

Quote:2.2 PROPOSAL OF CR WITHDRAWAL AND HOSPITALITY
The sponsorship includes:
a) CR not rendering aid to those engaging vessels flown by arris, vessels in his convoy or belonging to the future group [Ju-17], and in case of vessel destruction, attempting to pick up said pilots and deliver them to the safety of nearest neutral, or Junker operated facility.
Remark:
CR not rendering aid in the moment of battle to those engaging vessels flown by arris, vessels in his convoy or belonging to the future group [Ju-17] , and in case of vessel destruction, attempting to pick up said pilots and deliver them to the safety of nearest neutral, or Junker operated facility.

This is approvable and permissible, I salute you for your wise clarification. If the same wording for both parties applies, I agree. There was never any attempt to break e.g. made alliances, simply to gain an inch towards peaceful conduct among us two - and through our example, spread it among the Border and Independent Worlds. Like I have said, we have to start somewhere.

Quote:3.1 PROPOSAL OF CONTRACT SANCTIONS
a) Unjustified halting of vessels, cargo scanning including scanning under warranted suspicion, but proven unjustified during scan, and hostility is a contract violation finable up to damage to existing material in addition to $5.000.000, based on the judgement of the violated party.
b) Unjustified destruction of a vessel is a contract violation finable up to damage to existing material in addition to $10.000.000 in addition to the right to terminate contract without diplomatic consequences, based on the judgement of the violated party.
remark:
a+b) a screenshot should be povided as evidence to both parties before any sanction is applied
If you are willing to make these adjustments to the treaty i can bring it into the Colonial Remnant Council of Twelve for a democratic vote.

As I am an independent entrepreneur, I have not yet opened a definitive diplomatic channel on the Discovery forums. I do, however watch it closely. Your addition is warranted and approved and I am always available for communication, even to my enemies. After all, optimism dictates even an enemy is nothing but a future affiliate you don't yet see eye to eye with.
