From: Council of twelve (Q12) of the Colonial Remnant
To: Arris

this is what we proposeto get a workable treaty:

2.1 PROPOSAL OF CR NON-HOSTILITY
CR will not attempt to stop vessels flown by arris, in his convoy or belonging to the future group of [Ju-17], scan their cargo, or make financial or material demands from them, with the sole exception of warranted suspicion of the vessel in question having kidnapped or enslaved CR personnel, as these are corporate assets and violate the sponsorship agreement.
Remark:
with the sole exception that no activities considered criminal by CR or IMG, produced by arris etc. happen in the vicinity or at CR/IMG facilities. CR has the right to scan ships in img zone of influence to uphold the treaty. as these are corporate assets and violate the sponsorship agreement.

the abillity to scan ships should be a two way arrangement . There is no goal for a treaty, if it cant be uphold.

Quote:I am willing to extend the non-hostility agreement to concern the whole of IMG regardless of your political troubles, but must ask for reason otherwise. The CR/Junker proposal is but a first step: Proposing non-hostility towards other factions without having anything to bargain with would put us at a great disadvantage. We would have already promised non-hostility towards everyone, and everyone could just continue to be hostile based on a whim, unless we offered even more. These are big steps, and unfortunately even our wells aren't bottomless.

This treaty is between CR and JU-17 and since its a small step we should not involve other factions. Also i apologize for the misunderstanding, but since its a treaty all do's and dont's schould be clear. We never intended to suggest that you or your adversaries are unlawfull.

Quote:I'm also sure we both agree procuring arrested entities, commonly considered criminals by all House factions, to Falkland base at Tau-37 does not constitute a crime.

please clarify that , because i do not understand your point at this

Quote:If we are able to begin the arduous task of mutual understanding, with time, I'm confident you will see common piracy and widespread criminal activities in the Tau sector decrease. However, the means by which this will happen is not always to the liking of you, or me, for that matter. I hope you show the same trust in my capabilities and understanding of your delicate situation, as I show in yours.

I can only agree to this wise words

Quote:I'd like you to implore this: the CR is not welcome to Bretonnia and effectively cut off from IMG facilities there, am I right? Perhaps you are already supplied with your specialized machinery by the GMG, but the Junkers could easily provide it for you in order to improve the quality of life and work conditions throughout the Tau systems. In the eyes of some factions this would constitute a crime. In the eyes of others it would not. In my eyes I save one of my families from starving, and do something for the better of mankind to boot. In a situation like this, even the IMG would have more orders for their products, and BAF would recieve more funding to stop it, so everyone would win. The matter of "crime", in reality, is only selfish faction politics.

Although it sounds interesting , this is a matter for after the treaty is signed. We will negotiate this later.
