' Wrote:ok not be a prick...but HALO in the title should have been a clue it would disappoint....i have the 1998 PC gamer magazine, that first showed the idea for the game halo, but at that time, it was like all the characters were spartans.....moving on HALO was good, i liked it, the SP and COOP were amazing, MP was good but it seemed some1 always jumped in a tank, and killed everyone and everythng....halo 2 fixed that, with being able to snipe the driver.....but come on, since Halo was completed, and sequel after sequel has come out, has BUNGIE done anything but disappoint? i mean halo 3 absolutley blew ******* the cortana flash backs were annoying as all hell, and the AI is still dumber then rocks...The halo franchise in general has become like half-life...any one watch the zero punctuation reviews "we built a physics engine...woohoo great for you no one bloody cares" seriously for a MP role, its semi ok....but the entire franchise is highly overated...on the scale of napolean dynamite...people were all like OMG you have to like see that movie i like ROFLLMFAO till milk came out my nose....the only thing it did for me was bug me cuz i couldnt peel my eyes from the screen as much as i wanted to, it was in no way humoring, and it made me extremely hungry by the time i was done....

I argue this. There is a lot of hype, because its a popular franchise, it set the bar for FPS on Xbox, and influenced Microsoft's role in the console market, this you cannot deny.
Halo 1 = Epic SP, still play it, good MP, not perfect. This set the bar for FPS play.
Halo 2 = Average SP, amazing MP (in a good crowd), still play it, this set the bar for online play.
Halo 3 = Poor SP, epic MP proof located here, 1 BILLION games total to its name. Amazing game overall, get a good team together.
Halo Wars = Moderate SP, Good MP (in perfect circumstances), massive hype so people without uber PC's can play a good looking RTS, with Halo icing. Possibly set the bar for console RTS controller simplicity and ease of use.
Generally, Halo has set MANY benchmarks in many areas. Sure it has its flaws, but you cannot deny that without it, who knows where Xbox would be. Besides, they're still some of the most played games on the console.
