That's why you just find a server with good players.
Not exclusive to FPS games and teenagers unfortunately Swifty, the internet - while still 'srs biznizz' - is rife with truly awful people as i'm sure you know, the extreme cases of this taking place on the (largly unmoderated) world of Xbox Live where all your friendly racists/homophobes/etc reside.
As i've recently gotten into Battlefield 2, I find myself frustrated when you find the best little nook ever to hide in and snipe from, only for "[OMG]-IMAPWNU-[O_o]" to instantly find you and shoot you dead. Although, not enough for me to scream either through chat or voice chat, but I have still seen it happen.
If I were playing Halo for the first time online, I would probably be the first to stand in the middle of the map with a sniper rife and wonder why I was killed before I could even look down the scope. But after a few weeks of Battlefield, I now understand how nice it is to finally get more kills than times killed in a match.
...Especially when two of your kills are Chris (Silent Assassin):tease:
