You cant fire those 7 guns continuously, nor do all guns face the same direction (you can get about 4-5 firing forward, plus the two level ten fighter guns).

One interesting note with the level 10 gun slots - they have a firing arc that allows them to point almost backwards. I actually mounted a para/SW missile combo on those slots.

Very hand to shoot missiles back at pursuing bombers! It is like a Transport Class Missile Turret.
