Enough Please.

This debate's intensity has long since surpassed the importance of the issue.

For the record, the people who run the Bretonian Government Quasi-faction have my full support. It is awesome RP.

LeMaitre especially does an awesome job, and I support his work.

The Orkney ban, especially this early in mod 4.85, was a blunder, but one which ended up having no real in-game consequences, because immediately once the overreach mistake was realized, steps were taken to backpedal it, all in RP.

However, In-RP, Bretonia is clearly sovereign over Orkney, as per the mod map, and infocard. The Mod sayeth so.

But now I ask as a show of good faith, and to facilitate negotiations, that the BAF presence in Orkney be reduced to an occasional patrolling force, and the pretense of an attempt to restrict access to the system be ended. This is to be RP'd as a memo from my character, to the Prime Minister, effectively saying "Back Off! I don't have the resources to control Orkney and fight the Kusari in Leeds!"

The presence of the BAF in Orkney will remain light, and no attempt made to restrict access, until LeMaitre finishes his negotiations, at which time our presence and role will be altered as befits the outcome of the in-RP negotiations. I don't expect, however, that BAF has the resources to fully lock it down, nor would that be politically expedient.

And I defend LeMaitre's performance on Curacao. It was out there, on the forums, in full view, for a long time, and was bloody good RP. The Orkney thing was rushed, but Curacao wasn't. A "LOLtreaty", it was certainly not. And the actual ingame impact on the unlawfuls in Magellan and Cortez has been "ungankful", regardless of any fears to the contrary.
