On the tech chart, 2 slots are green and the rest are red.

You may use sirius-wide civilian and liberty civilian, as a xeno.

If you don't like the Roc, try the Waran. There's also the griffin, Marauder, Kingfisher, Dacite, and Mafic. (The later two are mining fighters, ugly imports but combat-viable)

Xeno guard ID can use transports. The DU5-7Y mining ship is both logical and practical, with 8 forward firing guns and a CD.

For freighters, try the X-shuttle. It is sold in the xeno guard system and can mount a torpedo.

And there are others. Xeno startracker, anyone?
