Right, here are some things you can try and do.

-Clean install. Physically go and Delete the Freelancer folder. It is usually in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games and then reinstall.

-Make sure the server is online at that point. Quick way to find out is by looking here: http://86.1.193.224/status/

-Freelancer.exe now starts up the updater. Try pointing your shortcut with the -s82.113.48.5:2302 in it at this, instead of Freelancer.EXE.

If you still can't see it after that, post here again, and I'll upload a Global Server workaround.dll for you.
