Superior Phantom ships/weapons

I think that might be because the Phantoms are, unlike the Keepers, pretty much a PvP-oriented (if not -only) faction.

Yes, I'm well aware that you've got quite a lot of great forum RP stories. But what's about ingame-RP? I'm quite sure that most (if not all) of you are great RPers, but everytime I see a Phantom, all they do is pewpewing stuff. The Phantoms, a faction supported by superior technology, with every single member being a elite transhuman operative, bent on creating and spreading anarchy throughout the Sirius sector so their masters can take it over without too much bloodshed among their troops...it's certainly a good concept, with a lot of potential. But why do I only see the Phantoms operating as either as deathsquad or (as some may say) OORP-cleanup-tool?

How's about taking a different approach to achieve your goals? You've got plenty of resources, a good hideout...why not try out something more shadowy, secretive instead of the torture-murder-pvpwhoring (sorry, but that *is* all I've experienced from Phantoms so far)? Start to use private comms, try to manipulate people to do the work for you. Start using private comms. Work out some events that do not involve making something explode, and maybe people will complain less about you.

Then I think you have not had many interactions with Phantoms, also, the problem is, when we start to talk to people, they start to shoot. Same reason the Keepers are involved in alot of PVP. To say the Phantoms is a "PVP" faction just goes to show the skewed view people have of it. The main problem is tat when people see the Phantom ID, it means to them that it's PVP time. You try and RP in your fighter when you have 5 fighters and 2 caps attacking you. We do RP, we do it in private comms, we do it in group chat, we do it in system chat, none the less, when people see Phantoms, they dont want to roleplay, they want to attack us. If you are ever there for the beginning of a Phantom interaction, you will see a whole lot of rp, but yes, once the pew pew starts, it's hard for us to continue to type in messages when we are getting attacked usually at least 2 to 1.

God I wish I could get on the server so I could stop paying attention to this thread.
