Ensign of the Bretonian Armed Forces, it seems you are a little confused. PanGalactic, and Orbital Spa & Cruise as a whole, does not "think about just finances." We exist to provide a service. And it is in everyone's best interests for us to provide that service to the best of our ability. Since you have written the petition, I can only assume that you are in agreement that planet Gaia is one of the most beautiful objects in the entire Sirius Sector. Stationing the Shetland anywhere else would reduce the quality of the service we all provide. Though this would result in a loss of earnings, that is because it would become a less appealing resort. And it is the latter fact that is of most importance, rather than financial gain. As for poaching, Mr Sanders has already pointed out what needs to be said. Orbital Spa & Cruise does not engage in poaching. It does not even tolerate poaching. Indeed it actively stops it. Obviously we cannot be sure that we catch each and every perpetrator, no more than you can be sure that it is our facility which is causing this problem. And this brings me to my final, extremely salient point. I presume from the tone of your communiqu?s that you are not a particularly educated man. A perfunctory knowledge of some of the more crowded, unregulated planetside markets reveals that the wildlife poached from Gaia is extremely popular amongst certain sections of Sirius population. And a cursory knowledge of history would let you know that the removal of the Shetland would change nothing in regards to this. With such a high demand, goods are going to find their way in to the hands of buyers one way or another - the incentive is just too high. Even if the Shetland were a staging point and storage depot for these poachers (which I can most vehemently assure you it is not), removing it would just be removing the symptom, not the problem. Alternative ways would be in place before the Shetland was even through the jumpgate. As it is, however, the luxury liner is a lawful vessel in extremely close proximity to planet Gaia that actively deters poaching. Removing it would make the poachers' jobs that much easier. And decommissioning it? A more ignorant and obnoxious comment I have never heard. Do you have any idea of the history of the vessel? The dignitaries who have been aboard, the magnificent events it has held? Preposterous.
