' Wrote:These bother me a bit, because they seem to support the absolute worst trader/smuggler RP possible. Death before cargo loss/pirate tax, no matter what. No live to fly another day, no money in exchange for your life. It puts me in mind of the (moronic) smugglers you see on occasion who openly flaunt their activities in system chat, then just cruise in and speed dock on Manhattan while the lawfuls have to order you to halt before shooting.
Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. I was aiming for the "no loss of cargo" to a smuggler because it's the primary goal of them to get their cargo to where it's going. What I meant to say is when you're going through a system and a lawful or pirate tries to stop you, you keep running.
Another point. You said openly "flaunt" their activities. We maintain radio silence throughout the system when there are lawfuls present to avoid being stopped, and we are not scared to payoff a lawful or give the pirates some of the cargo if they are willing to back off. I'll re-word it to support these points, it was just bad wording on my part.

Yep, you're right. I played WoW since Beta. Just quit and came back to Freelancer.

EDIT: I tried editing it to make it sound better and failed. The goal of a Smuggler is not to just drop all their cargo for a lawful. But you put it so well as to say that it's horrible Roleplay. However, why would a smuggler, whose looking to make money at no matter what, drop ALL their cargo for a Lawful, or give a pirate, who they are supplying with cargo from the houses, money and lose money. It's like paying the people to give them cargo, and that makes no sense.
You fear oblivion. Yet you forget. The universe remembers every atom of your being. Even dust hums your name in the dark. Roleplay is dead. Long live Powertraders and PvP I guess.
