Yes , I thought about commenting that myself , Jinx. I completely agree , with you. It is a lot harder to learn to fly a capital ship versus smaller ships , then the opposite.

When screen is shaking , don't forget once your shield is done even swarms of NPC Piranha's shake you like mad , and you are unable to effectively counter the small enemy ships , it's only natural for a person to loose his nerves and "not want to do that again" , because there is nothing fun in getting attacked by a lot of bombers in a capital ship , no fun at all.

Actually there can't even be second opinions in this matter , mastering a Battleship in all it's aspects might take more then an year and you will still be able to win fights versus 3 bombers , from time to time. Experienced and very good pilots might be able to push , say the Osiris , beyond it's limits , but normal players , like me and many more , end a fight with aching fingers , a nervous look and a sweaty forehead.

edit: i do like the concepts for the weapons - but i think we re driven waaay too much by the fear that bigger ships are abused, while we turn a blind eye on smaller ships being abused, too.

On this matter , I have accepted the general opinion of the public that smaller is better in every single aspect of the expression. It is also important to not forget that people are more likely to turn a blind eye on a fighter/bomber doing something wrong ( 4.84 Bombers swarms / whores , I remember them ) then a capital ship pilot. I have repeated and unfortunately will repeat this again , if a bomber / fighter pilot does not want to die to a capital ship , then there is NO way they will die. Bombers / Fighter are blown up by capital ship for one reason , they make mistakes. If a bomber/fighter does not make such mistakes , then can't be killed , simple as that. In simple words - Capital ships relay on pilot error to make a kill , bombers however don't need a battleship pilot to make something wrong in order to miss.

Mjolnir - Aldo , I do agree with some of your statements , I don't think that it is a good example of proper balance to mention smaller battleships , Osiris etc , when you say that they can dodge 50% + SNAC shots. Even with their smaller size , bomber pilots must really be disoriented to miss so much SNAC's , or the BS pilot has a lucky day. Not to mention that other Battleships don't have the benefit of smaller size.
