Professor Moriarty, this correspondence is a formal submission of my desire to become a Trainee in the Lane Hackers organization. Allow me to share a little about me history and reason I would be a benefit to your organization.
I was born to Erwin and Diana Tesla on New Berlin; however, by my first birthday my parents had immigrated to Liberty to work for Planetform Inc. on the California Minor Project. While my father worked on the Atmosphere Generators; my mother was my teacher. At a young age my parent were very worried, I did not play with the other children stationed at California Minor. I preferred taking my toys and other items in our house apart. As I grew older, I found the small community on California Prime to associate with. I promised that I would leave and never come back once I got my GED.
At the age 17 I got me GED and applied for scholarships to California Institute of Technology on Los Angeles. After I secured a full ride scholarship from Ageira Technologies in the field of mechanical engineering I left California Minor with every intention not to return. At college became was very dedicated to my studies; although I was also president of the robotics club and did a little skirt chasing.
Overall school took priority over all other activities and because I made this commitment I graduated in the top three percent of my class and got an offer to work at Ageira Technologies right way as a structural engineer. My first assignment was to work on at team with the goal improving several Jump Gate components which were failing due to the increase of space traffic. After that success we improved the shielding to Trade Lane components in order to make them hold up to tachyon fire because to the ever increasing Lane Hacker attacks.
I worked happily for the company for five years; eventually being promoted to lead engineer on several major projects. Life was going good; I even had gone back to school to get a master degree in electrical engineering to have a much broader range of skills.
About six months I designed a new trade lane acceleration field module in my spare time. After Ageira realize I had a product which could be a competing design for their current system they tried to buy me out. I did not want to sell it however; I felt their offer was not up to the value. So after I told them no they used political pressure in Liberty to get the patent revoked and told me I would sell it to them if I wanted to keep my job. As part of the settlement for the new component was a seven day trip to Curacao paid by the company. It was the companys way of giving me time to cool down after they justifying stealing my patent.
On the trip to Curacao I met a woman named Elizabeth. She was stunning and I spent most of my trip with her. By the end of the trip we were in love. It turned out she was a former Ageira employee but now a Lane Hacker. I said I would use my position in Ageira to feed her information about the developments in Ageira technology, starting with my new trade lane acceleration field module. We also said we would meet every month on Curacao so I could give her any information I could smuggle out.
A month ago I was caught be Ageira Technologies Security Division Intelligence Branch started to keep a close watch on me. Then when I tried to downloading a file on the latest Trade Lane firewall protocols a two weeks ago they tried to arrest me. I manage to lock them in the computer mainframe room and wedged the door shut. I ran to my office; collected all my files and grabbed the intelligence Starflier. I remember what Elizabeth told me I should do if I ever left Ageira. I was told of an underground railroad out of Liberty space and to the Lane Hackers base in the hidden in the boarder system.
I therefore I went Datroit Munitions and then Rochester Base to upgrade my stolen ship; constantly having to fight off the Xenos until I was able to convince the Rogues that I was not a threat. Once I was able to land on Buffalo Station; I upgraded to a Dagger Light Fighter and I was able to get in contact with the Lane Hacker contact on the base. He pointed to the Magellan system and I was off.
Once I arrived I was looked at with suspicion even with Elizabeth vouching for me. So I took my Dagger into combat against Bounty Hunter and Liberty Navy Pilots until I was able to gain their trust. Now I have their trust, I think my vast knowledge of the corporate secrets of the internal workings of trade lanes and jump gates, and general engineering skills would be an excellent addition to the Lane Hackers. I am hoping to spend the rest of my days in luxury with Elizabeth and as a bonus I get to help break the monopoly that Ageira Technologies has over travel throughout Sirius.
I am also attaching several images of the equipment I have already collected and mounted to my Dagger. I will be waiting on Mactan Base for a response.
