As you know, player location is displayed for others, and it's not quite that complicated to chase a player along his course. There are complicated systems line NY that have a large network of trade lanes, but most others are quite linear, only one or two ways and nowhere to hide. Away from trade lanes there are more possibilities to set up an alternative course, but this will make trader's life very dull, and trading itself far too lengthy.
