I think it is a good idea and a much needed one.

On other discussions, we stated that there was a gaming mod that helping the new players by asking them to select their rep. Then they were teleported to their 'home' system, with a starting ship of the selected rep.

This prevented everyone starting at the same point and just gave the whole Role Play a much needed boost.

Zoners already have this big huge thing with No missions and very few bribe points and almost impossible to get guard rep.

Now that it has been decreeded that everyone has less than 6 days to get their rep, ships and id's matching, /setrep is deeply needed.

As for abuse....ANYTHING can be abused if the players wants to be jerks and exploit the rules.
