/setrep Command

@ Geisha_Maiko: Very true ... anything can be abused. But if we're gonna have a rep fixing tool ... lets just make a /setrep command that can only be used once per character ... and at no cost. That way when new guys come online or if we old farts make a new character we can go straight to the faction we choose (teleport to their home world) where there would be basic ships and equipment for new players (as if they were in New York). Nobody would have to repfix to get their role play going and we'd have less congestion in New York (or Liberty for that matter).

@ Linkero: If we limit this command to just once per character ... and charge nothing ... we'll be golden. Far less chance for abuse if you only get to choose your starting rep. Then any rep adjustments you make from there would be on your own. I think its a fairly reasonable compromise.

@ casero: This thread was initially intended to point out how something can be taken too far. However, I am starting to think this command would be worthwhile ... provided it was only useful once per character ... intended to get people off to their role play rep they choose.

@ Eppy: Um ... knowing you disagree with everything I say, I'm not surprised by your comments here. Frankly ... don't really care anymore. But ... if you read a bit more ... you might find there's a good discussion going on here. But do feel free to start the flames if you like. That ... or you can contribute to this discussion.
