So unless FA is so large (which I can't be certain since synth food does seems popular to Kusari, especially youth), why would they strike in Bretonia with such ambitious plans?

It would be extending the influence and power of a relatively small vanilla faction to the extent of a pirate faction of, I'd say, Hessian caliber.

As I have said before, the AFA are a small segment of the FA. And the AFA is not the Xeno's we are a highly trained, well funded, experienced private military group. Also, please do not base what you think the FA should do on what you think the Xeno's would do, two different groups, different economic, equipment and training levels, along with a totally different culture.
