Comm ID: Tribune Skyelius To: All pilots of the Brotherhood
As some of you already know, several Corsair wings headed for a small raid in Omicron Alpha. Our objective was to delay the Outcast fleet's strengthening by performing a preemptive strike on the ships in orbit. To our surprise, our intelligence was wrong, and the enemy knew we were coming. Banderas, Valentine and myself, along with Elder Lucendez, joined the strike team and set out to the Outcast home planet. Globalo joined us on the way, and we managed to coordinate our attack with the HAF fleet to increase our chance of success by traveling in two groups.
The battle was hard, and we lost several of our brothers in the process. We shot down two of their larger ships before several Reaper wings came in to disrupt our seemingly close victory. The Pesadilla, now under reconstruction and refit, was wrecked by five enemy ships, the final blow dealt by Juan Zavala after several minutes of tough combat. Although not surprising to some of us who already know him, I'd like to announce thatBanderas' performance was exemplary, having shot down 4 enemy fighters throughout the engagement, and finally sparing his own life and the escape pods of some of us who ended up in his cargo bay after all that remained of Cretian origin was his Titan. Having finished the job by returning home in once piece, we welcomed him as he realized that perhaps the whole purpose of our entry there was to turn a skilled young pilot into another full-fledged ace of the Corsair nation.
Luckily, all Brotherhood pilots survived the encounter, and are prepared to take a better fight to the enemy with our last breath. The funerals of the brave pilots shot down during the battle took place this evening, as well. But the noble blood spilled in the fight against slavery and dishonor is far from over.
We also sent our thanks to the few Colonial Vipers that joined in on our raid. The sons of Crete and the guardians of pride, honor and dignity will never fade away.
Long live The Brotherhood!
