In 4.84 - finishing up the run from The Ring to Cambridge with Engine Components - I was chatting with another pilot in group chat. Came out of the trade lane ring and moved my mouse to dock - hit F3 - and kept typing.
Forgot the chat window was open - and ran right into the planet.
As a bounty hunter, I've seen many, many people do that over time while I've been on patrol.

Seperate incident - came out of the trade lane ring in Cortez, hit F3 to dock with the next trade lane, and my ship swung so far to the right that it hit the atmosphere and...
Learned my lesson there - never hit F3 until well AFTER clearing the trade lanes.

Seperate incident - Not too long ago, I had a very brave Lane Hacker pilot in a light fighter with no armor attempt to pirate me - and I'm in a Bretonian CTrans with 12 level 4 Transport turrets. His comment, "How about 2 million?" was immediately followed by his death message - followed by my, "How about no?"
Aside comment - those C-Trans are darned near as powerful as the Luxury Liner. I'm not sure of the hit box on them, but two of them in a convoy can hold off a gunboat.
