Cloning cruisers

I was heading down to Capetown to pick up some weapons, and saw a Rheinland cruiser near the Battleship in O-15. No big deal, right?

Except - when I jumped in O-56, there he was - on my sensors...

I contacted him via PM and asked if he was still down in 15. He replied in the affirmative. Well, I had visual proof otherwise...



I closed with the Lawbringer clone, and Lawbringer actual thought I was kidding about him being in front of me - until I shot the clone, and actual started taking shield damage - in a totally different system...

So Actual came to 56 to see what was going on - and when he jumped in, Clone suddenly moved instantly somewhere else - but they were both on my scanners.



It took me a few minutes of searching, but I finally found clone - and Actual came along, too. He said he could see nothing... but the proof is in the screenshot...

(I apologize for the size of this - but unedited makes it look so much better... and we were in private chat, so no, I didn't use the //)



Actual never did see anything on his screen - but there WAS something there. He tried to shoot me directly, and as long as I had the center of clone between us, my shield lit like I was taking damage, but I never actually had my shield drop.

However, clone was transparent to missiles.

But as proof that something was there - clone was NOT transparent to MY fire - you can see me hitting clone, while Actuals shield dropped...

I know that there were April Fools things going on - but I think this qualifies as the winner - Cloning Rheinland Cruisers...
