When setting up the mod in FLMM, set all factions to friendly, then simply do an easy mission or two with the faction whose cap you want to buy. That's how I got my Outcast dessie and Bretonian gunboat in SP. Just don't get stuck in a small station, like I did, again, and again, and again.... :$ In SP, its a lot harder to get out of a station in a cap.
