regarding the jump gates in Dublin - I don't think we need to rotate the NL gate at all actually. If you look at the map, you can see that I proposed the trade lane to run from the Chester gate construction site down to the Essex, rather than actually to the NL gate itself, so the NL gate can stay as it is, pointing towards the Essex. That way ships going along the route would fly past the battleship, adding security, and solving your alignment problem
