Developments of the Bretonian Region

I have nothing against updates to Bretonia, and may do some myself eventually. But please stick to stuff that makes sense. Furthermore, Cambridge holds a huge interest to Mollies. As Blodo said, its the breadbasket and target of countless Corsair attacks. On top of that is the trade going towards Rheinland through the Omegas (the jump hole and gates to it being near the Molly base for a reason). And as if we need any more reason, Cambridge is also where IMG's Bretonian-core base, Cardiff, is located. IMG threaten the Mollys, being miners also working in Dublin. The Mollys want those fields to themselves, so IMG has made itself into a target for them.

The mollies' main aim is independence for Dublin, so it would make more sense for them to expand somewhere near to Dublin, i.e. Edinburgh, than in Cambridge. The presence of food production and corsairs is not really going to entice them there - why would they want to be operating somewhere where they have to fend off the corsairs as well as the BAF? Their current base is right next to a jump hole leading to corsair territory, which if anything is annoying to corsairs who used to use that route to attack Bretonia.

And then putting a Molly base in Edinburgh.. No. No, no, and no. The Gaian's headquarters are located in Edinburgh already. Planetform and OS&C already there as well.. All three being enemies to the Mollys. Mollys also have no where to hide a base in Edinburgh. It can't hide near a planet, as Planetform is working on the only one. Gaians have the upper-right field, and they also keep the upper-left one clear as its the route into Tau-31 where they attack Harris.. So Mollys would have no choice but to make a base in empty space near the Dublin JH. Thats not a smart move for a pirate organization, considering a single Dunkirk and escort could demolish that base. And the excuse of the war keeping those Dunkirks busy doesn't work.. The BS in Dublin could spend a day destroying it than go back.. Its goal in Dublin is to subdue the Mollys, and this would be a great step towards that. And even if it couldn't, once the war is over the BAF could do it quite easily. The Mollys would know this and plan ahead accordingly. Simply put; Pirate base in the middle of empty space, easily seen by others is NOT smart or safe.

The base would not be in empty space; please read the actual proposal before posting.

Edinburgh is getting a lot of development and could well end up being just as busy and attractive a target as Cambridge, with the added bonus that it is much more convenient for them
