' Wrote:The mollies' main aim is independence for Dublin, so it would make more sense for them to expand somewhere near to Dublin, i.e. Edinburgh, than in Cambridge. The presence of food production and corsairs is not really going to entice them there - why would they want to be operating somewhere where they have to fend off the corsairs as well as the BAF? Their current base is right next to a jump hole leading to corsair territory, which if anything is annoying to corsairs who used to use that route to attack Bretonia.
The base would not be in empty space; please read the actual proposal before posting.
Hardly. Omega-3 is not Corsair territory, not even close. It's Bretonian occupied, containing both Hessians and Corsairs. Certainly not Corsair dominated. The Omega-3 side of the O-3 -> Cambridge jump hole is surrounded by Hessian NPCs and not Corsair ones. That provides a good platform for the future storyline development of Hessian - Molly contact.
Also, the reason Mollys would be concerned with Cambridge is because it is an attractive target for terrorism. Imagine how they could spook the Bretonian government if they threatened to MOX bomb Planet Cambridge or something.
Quote:Edinburgh is getting a lot of development and could well end up being just as busy and attractive a target as Cambridge, with the added bonus that it is much more convenient for them
Even with the amount of development in Edinburgh, it still doesn't seem like an attractive target for Mollys. Why would they want to target an OSC liner or a planet in terraforming? That's a bit pointless isn't it? Don't add a Molly base there, rather leave the one in Cambridge alone. If you really want a Corsair base in Bretonia, add one to the asteroid field with the Omega-5 jump hole there.
