Journal Entry 4- (approximately 14 years, 10 months ago)

I've finally graduated and joined Leudasts black op unit, tagged Jasta 13. My comrades are not exactly what I thought they would be. Ive always invisioned special operations members being brash, rough and tumble fellows. Most everyone here is quiet and reserved. Silent professionals, looking to stay under the radar.

Since arriving at the unit, I befriended Hammer, Blackbeard, and Hardnight. We've grown to trust eachother immensely, laying our lives in eachothers hands.

Lately the Jasta 13 have been ordered into Omicron Alpha and Omicron Beta. We've been tasked at eliminating key Outcast leaders. So far we have been highly successful, the amount of intel that we have collected has been astounding. I never imagined that the Outcasts were as organized or ruthless as they are. After completing our missions, we covertly return to our safehouse on Planet Malta. Hammer finds it very ironic that we are living among those we hunt. I think his exact words were, "wolves in sheeps clothing", I guess he is right. At times it is difficult to sit across the bar from an Outcast you must kill later on, listening to them rant and rave about the demons that lurk in the asteroids, magically snuffing their friends lifes out. I wonder what thier reaction would be if I told them I was one of the demons within the asteroid fields.

Journal Entry 5- (approximately 14 years ago)

Jasta 13 finally returned to New Berlin. It was a very good feeling to be among the Rheinish peoples again. I spent some time with my father, he seems so proud, even in his decaying health. He asked me what we done, strangely I can not remember. It nags me that the memorys of the past year escape me. I remember being on Malta, remember the places I stayed, ate, some of the people I met... I just cant remember what I was doing there. I asked Hammer, he didnt know either.

My thoughts revert back to the briefing room, where our minds were plugged into the Neural Debriefer. Did our commanders remove that knowledge from our minds? I dont know why they would, I swore an oath of loyalty to Rheinland, I could never betray the Fatherland. You know, my father mentioned that these logs would benifit me. He was wise, tis a shame I havent documented the things I should have. In the future I will be more dilligent documenting what happens, lest they remove such memorys from my mind again....
