Today saw a victory for us. The =CR= have been making a nuisance of themselves for some time, harassing our cargo shipments through the Taus, then yesterday the =CR= attacked and severely damaged my Frigate when myself and Fawkes were attacking a Hogosha pilot.
Today we began our revenge. When a =CR= trade convoy of 2 transports (=CR=Ball and =CR=Johannesburg) was sighted well away from their home, we decided to set an ambush.
They were seen to dock on Gran Canaria, and gave us plenty of time to set up.
Myself, Crow and Tinker approached through Bretonia and waited by the 49 hole in Dublin. RustyNail and MrUnusuall approached through the Omegas and waited in by the 49 hole in 47. After a short wait, the two trade vessels launched again.
With them cut off on both sides, we just had to wait. Then the ambush was sprung in Dublin.
After demanding they drop their cargo, they both complied. Then the Johannesburg tractored his back in and they both made a run for it to Leeds. Johannesburg managed to escape our grip, but Ball did not and paid the price.
We have taught the =CR= a lesson today. Not only did we catch them smuggling Deuterium through Bretonia toward Kusari space, but we managed to capture one of the loads and destroy a =CR= super transport. It's going to hurt them.
Well done to all pilots involved. Textbook ambush, we caught them with their pants down!
