Personal Log of Commodore Mark Stevenson

Over the past few days, Carter has been catching up on a backlog of research to do, which has allowed me and the crew to take some time off. I spent most of the time catching up on sleep and watching old Monk reruns A good old show from Earth, further developed on in Sirius. Just as it was getting to the good part in one of the episodes, Kiley says she needs my assistance on the bridge Typical. After quickly getting dressed into something a little more formal, I made my way to the bridge and Kiley informed me we had visitors

Somehow a Liberty Cruiser Captain had made his way out to Kappa for Nomad research. Unfortunately, it seems the Navy didnt outfit his ship with sufficient cloaking mechanisms So he attracted quite a bit of unwanted attention. First, the Corsairs became suspicious

Then the Hunters came to investigate

Corsairs and Bounty Hunters dont mix; This is a known fact across Sirius. I ordered the unknown cruiser to get out of Kappa before things became heated. However it was too late and the Corsairs started the engagement.

The two battleships struggled against one another until, finally, the Hunter won.

The Hunter wasnt too happy that we were out in the Omicrons He was worried wed all be infected and hell have to deal with yet another infected ship. Obviously he didnt care much about the hundreds of crew members that would lose their lives in the process, however out here you can lose your sense of humanity quite quickly if youre not careful. The Hunter was blocking the exit to Delta and so the friendly cruiser Captain was essentially trapped in Kappa for the time being. Since he didnt have official clearance to even know our location, I made him a deal:


The cruiser Captain was eager to see the ship and responded in the affirmative to my offer.

The fast turrets on the cruiser meant it was easier for them to take down the small, annoying fighters the nomads were sending at us. Within minutes, the Captain had taken down all the pesky fighters swarming the Nevada and was granted access on board.

I made my way down to the fighter bay, where the Captain was waiting for me. The slightly eccentric Captain seemed to be petrified of the Assassin A quick and fast nomad fighter vessel. He told me how two of the ships gunboat escorts were taken down out in Kappa by a swarm of these things and how they barely made it out of there alive. I have to say, the dear Captain scared myself and Kiley with the story, we thought it best not to share it with the crew No use in their nerves getting shot.

After we gave him the full tour of the Nevada, we transferred the nomad specimens over to our ship and made sure the Hunter was gone before he made his way back to Delta.

On my way back to the bridge, I stopped in to check on Carter and her gang They didnt even seemed phased by the whole event, too busy working on their research I suppose. Scientists.
