I talked with Korrd about this earlier today.. I think the bomber should be prohibited from pirating, as it is (Korrd came up with this) a mini-battleship. I don't think the ship itself should be nerfed, but maybe the novas. Or take two of the level 10 guns from it to make up for the massive firepower. The SF and sso| can attest to this. 6 caps couldn't take down 3 bombers (granted, two of them were Korrd and I, but still..). Any decent-piloted bomber can kill any cap not made to be solely anti-fighter/bomber. Plus, the bomber can easily take down any trading ship we have other than a lux liner with cruiser shields and VIII armor.

I would suggest the downgrading of the novas by a bit, removing two level 9 guns from both bombers, and then making them disallowed to pirate in.
