Corsairs win again! Defeat outcasts near Crete

A decisive victory for the empire, the counterattack in response to a Corsair assault on Outcast territory was utterly thwarted.
However, let not the Benitez take all the credit. I'd like to extend my gratitude on behalf of the nation to all who stood together to defend the nation against the Outcast armada.

It should be noted that the Outcast force was entirely insufficient in number to match our defence fleet. This shows us two things; firstly that the Outcast strength maybe dwindling, or else they grossly underestimated us. The second point that can be made is that too many ships were deployed on our part, in response to the attack.

Some may be of the feeling that no expense should be spared in defence of our home world against such threats. I think differently. We must strive to defeat our enemies efficiently with as little resources wasted as possible.
In particular, the loss of one of the nation's dreadnought class warships is regrettable, though a small price to pay for the empire's safety.

Months ago, the situation of the empire seemed bleak. Today it seems the Outcast scruge are unable to match our might. However, we must not be complacent. We all know how quickly the winds can change.
Therefore, let us celebrate this victory, but be prepared for future challenges, attempt to conserve resources, and strive for more glorious victories in future.
